All document capture, optical character recognition (Apple Vision), and AI extraction (Apple Foundation Models) run locally on your iPhone. Your documents, their text, and every asset, expense, warranty, liability, and maintenance record are stored only on your device, encrypted at rest via iOS Data Protection.
Homestead is usable with no account. If you subscribe to Homestead Premium, Apple processes the payment (we never see your card details) and we store a minimal subscription record (an anonymous user identifier, subscription status, and — if you create an optional account — your email) solely to restore Premium across your devices. We do not collect your document content, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers.
The app accesses the camera and photo library only when you choose to capture or import a document, and only to process that document on-device.
You can export all of your data at any time (Settings → Export my data) and permanently delete everything (Settings → Delete all data). Because your data is on-device, deletion is immediate and complete. For any privacy request, email hello@nyrai.ai. We honor GDPR and CCPA rights.
Homestead is not directed to children under 13.
